Auma Rita

Founder
Auma Rita is a lawyer, communications enthusiast, spaeaker, and the author of two impactful books, "Dear Me" and "Dear Us". Passionateabout mental health, creative expression and mental advocacy, she creates safe, empowering spaces for communities to heal, connect and grow.

Through her work, she uses storytelling and advocay to inspire authenticity and collective well-being, sharing her own lived experience to encourage and empower others.

Additionally, Auma facilitates workshops that use writing as a tool for healing and promoting mental health awareness.

Wilson Kazooba

Co-Founder
Wilson Kazooba is a clinical psychologist with over 6 years of specialized experience in mental health and psycho-social support (MHPPSS), working across hospital, emergency and community settings in Uganda.

Holding a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Makerere University. His expertise spans trauma-informed care, child protection and interventions for populations affected by displacement, HIV, domestic violence and substance abuse.

Proficient in CBT, PFA and psyhoeducation, Wilson has led impactful programs with organizations like Heart to Heart Spaces Uganda, Uganda Lotteries and Gaming Board and the Ministry of Health, focusing on youth mental Health, crisis repsonse and community resilience.

Tandeka Jordana

Co-Founder
Tandeka Jordana is a dynamic and creative Ugandan professional with a background in law, media, education, and community work. A natural leader and communicator, she has served in various roles including radio presenter, legal intern, youth mentor, and educator.

Jordana is passionate about advocacy, particularly for vulnerable populations, a passion sparked during her time at Hope House caring for abandoned babies.

With experience in hospitality, mental health advocacy, and film production, she brings a versatile skill set and a deep commitment to social impact.

Pamela Bugembe Natasha

Chief Operating Officer
Pamela Natasha Bugembe, a mental health advocate and special needs activist dedicated and passionate about promoting mental health awareness, supporting individuals with special needs, and advocating for inclusive policies and practices.

She works tirelessly to create a more supportive and inclusive environment for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions and special needs.

Brenda Karuhanga

Finance & Administration Head
Brenda is experienced in Leading Business Teams, Business Development and Management, Business Administration, project and team management, and Private Investigations.

She has demonstrable good communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork abilities, with a strong commitment to excellence, adaptability, and a passion for delivering exceptional results, with dedication to continuous improvement.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Nkumba University Uganda and a diploma in Law from the Law Development Centre and a master's fellow in Institutional Management and Leadership at UMI.

James Nuwagaba

Administrative & Men's Mental Health Lead
Nuwagaba James is a mental health advocate focused on dismantling stigma, especially around men's mental health, while ensuring women and all individuals are included in the conversation.

Recognizing the societal pressures that often discourage men from seeking help, they work tirelessly to foster open conversations, encourage emotional vulnerability, and highlight the importance of mental well-being for everyone.

Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, James strives to create a world where no one suffers in silence, where mental health is prioritized regardless of gender, and where compassion and understanding replace judgment and shame. Their mission is to remind people that "It's okay not to be okay"—and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Ronald Badaaki Abaasa

IT & Digital Engagement Lead
Ronald Badaaki is a dynamic entrepreneur and operations strategist with over 8 years of experience across IT solutions, digital marketing, and sports media management. As the Founder of Badaaki IT Solutions LTD, he drives innovation, leads teams, and oversees strategic planning, tech adoption, and client engagement.

He also leads RabSports Management and Media LTD, focused on sports talent promotion and digital storytelling across Africa.

Ronald’s background in business computing and software engineering, coupled with certifications in AI, data science, and cloud services, positions him at the intersection of tech, business, and creativity.

Mirembe Gabrielle Pearl

Communications Director
Dr. Mirembe Gabrielle Pearl is a mental health advocate, creative storyteller and healthcare professional. She has volunteered with Livemore Foundation and Heart to Heart Spaces, using writing, poetry and media to spark conversations around healing and identity.

She also runs a Ugandan brass jewelry brand that celebrates culture, self-expression and emotional resilience.

Social Media Manager
Leatisha Belinda Wabuyi is a graphics designer with a passion for mental health advocacy, psychological depth, and storytelling that lingers. Currently pursuing a degree in Social Work and Administration, I weave my growing knowledge of psychology and human behavior into every creation.

As the Social Media Manager for Heart to Heart Safe Spaces. My work is driven by a deep belief in the power of storytelling to heal, connect, and empower. Through every campaign, I strive to create an online presence that reflects our mission: to listen deeply, speak kindly, and foster community with heart—whether it's through a single post or an entire campaign, my goal is always the same: to make people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Every post is a chance to remind someone they're not alone and I'm proud to be part of that mission.
